In many households, the hard workers come from office in a cranky mood. While we know food lifts the spirits, something sweet and from their childhood makes them smile again.
Today I shall share my recipe of suji/ Semolina halwa. Is is a sweet dish..aka..dessert. I make halwa on any auspicious occasion or festival such as Navratris, birthday of any of my family member. Halwa is distributed as prasad in gurudwaras and temples. It is very delicious and lip smacking.
So here I go with the recipe.
Preparation time – 15 minutes Serves – 5
- 1/2 cup Suji/Semolina
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 – 3 green cardmom seeds crushed
- 3 tbsp ghee
- 1.5 cup water
- 1cup sugar
- 4-5 almonds ..cut fine
- Take ghee in pan ,add suji and roast it in medium flame. Keep stirring it and keep an eye else it can go dark very soon.
- When suji turns brown add water & keep on stirring or else lumps will be formed.
- Add sugar & stir well.Garnish with almonds and add crushed cardmoms.
- Your halwa is ready.
