Mathri is a delicacy that is enjoyed with achaar / pickle, & with tea. We prepare mathri in festivals such as Diwali, Holi,& other festivals too. Sometimes I prepare as my daughter enjoys taking it to her office. Mathri is a good munching delicacy.

Preparation time- 30 minutes | Makes- 20 – 25 pieces
- All purpose flour 1/2 kg
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp ajwain seeds
- 2 tbsp oil for moin
- Oil for frying
- Knead the flour with salt ,ajwain seeds , moin, as we knead for puris.
- Now make small ball out of it.Roll out purir & pierce it with fork on both sides.
- Deep fry them till light brown.
- Have it with any pickle , & of course tea. So enjoy
