My dish today is Lauki ka kofta. Bottle gourd is lauki & kofta are dumplings made from lauki. This dish is relished by all. I am sharing this recipe , enjoy making & relishing it too.
Preparation time– 30 minutes
Serves – 4
1/2 kg lauki / bottle gourd
3fresh tomato paste
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/4 tsp cornflour mixed with ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Grate lauki & add besan, 1/4 tsp red chilli powder, little salt, mix well.
Take oil in pan , when heated make dumplings from the mixture & keep aside
For the gravy
Take 2 tbsp oil in pan, add tomato paste & ginger garlic paste, fry well,add1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp dhania powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste.
Fry well then add 3 cups of water, boil well add the kofta & leave for half an hour
Serve hot with pulao or chapati
