Panchmel Dal


Dal is a dish that is must in every Indian house
Even everybody in my family loves dal, so today I am sharing the recipe of Panchmel dal, it is a combination of 5 dals together blended with tomatoes & ginger garlic paste, it is s blend of spices too that leaves a good aroma to it. So here we go
Preparation time– 30 minutes
Serves – 3
1/4 cup tuar dal
1/4 cup masoor dal
1/4 cup Chana dal
1/4 cup yellow moong Dal
2 fresh tomatoes puree
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp jira
1 tsp red chilli powder
A pinch of asafoetida
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
* Boil all the dal together in a pressure cooker with 2 cups of water alongwith turmeric powder & salt.
* Now take 2 tbsp ghee in pan ,add jira, asafoetida , ginger garlic paste & red chilli powder  ,add tomatoes fry a little then add this tempering to the dal.
Your dal is ready to be served , serve it hot with steamed rice  or chapati as you wish. You can enjoy with green chutney also.
