Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mother’s out there. I am so happy & excited as my today’s recipe is the signature dish of my mom & I am so blessed she has made this dish for me, it is known as French Braid. It can be made veg as well as non veg too. First let’s see the pictures how to make it , followed by the recipe.
You see as you go through the pictures they are themselves self explanatory. But still here is the recipe
Preparation time – 35 minutes
Serves – 4
3 cups maida..all purpose flour
1cup atta…… Whole wheat flour
3 tbsp oil for moin
Salt to taste
For the filling
4 medium sized potatoes
1 cup boiled peas
1 tsp jira
Apinch of asafoetida
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp dhania powder
,1/2 tsp amchoor powder
1whisked egg for basting
* First knead the flour & maida with moin, salt. Keep it aside for overnight.
* Now take oil in pan & prepare the filling.
* As shown in pictures roll the kneaded dough, fill in the filling & bake it in preheated oven at 150 degrees. Then bake them at 180 degrees for half an hour.
You can prepare a non veg filling also, it is optional.
Your Braid is ready to be served with Tomato sauce or Chilli sauce as preferred.
