Taroi/Ridge Gourd with kale chane


Taroi / Ridge gourd is very good for heart disease & daibetic patients. As it  is full of nutritive values& has good water content.
You can make this vegetable with besan dumplings ,kale chane or you can simply make this veg by tempering it with hing ,jira& salt.
But today i chose to make it with kale chane.


Here goes the recipe. You can enjoy with chapati & hung curd raita
Preparation time 30 minutes
Serves – 4
1/2 kg taroi cut in cubes
2 tomatoes chopped
1 cup kale chane soaked overnight
1/ 2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Take oil in pan .add jira, hing & put the taroi in it alongwith tomatoes.
Cook till tender add all spices.
Boil kale chane seperately. When done mix with taroi. Take a boil &serve hot with chapati
