ChoLley – Puri

Cholley – Puri is a lovely combo for brunch,as it is quite fulfilling & relished by everyone 

As i have given a twist to my cholley using kasuri methi,the dish is prepared without onion& garlic.Do try the dish you will definitely relish it. I have made vinegar onion to match with the taste of Cholley Puri.

Here is the recipe

For Cholley

250 gms Soaked cholley overnight

2 tomatoes puree

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp amchoor powder

1 tsp kasuri methi crushed well

For Puris

Take 2 cup whole wheat flour & knead the dough. Roll out small puris & deep fry them . Your puris are ready

For Cholley

Put soaked cholley in pressure cooker alongwith turmeric powder & salt to taste,cooktill tender. Crush the boiled cholley a little.

Now take 2 tbsp oil in a pan add the tomato puree & all spices ,fry it well then add boiled cholley. Mix well ,garnish with crushed kasuri methi 

Serve hot with puri & vinegar onion.

For vinegar onion

Slit onion in 4 ,put in vinegar with a quarter pinch of food colour. Keep for a day ,your vinegar onion is ready .
