Atta Urad Dal Kachori

Kachoris are usually made from maida or all purpose flour.,but i have made these urad dal kachoris from whole wheat flour/ atta.These are very tasty & quite relishing.Here goes

So here goes the recipe

2 cups atta

2 tbsp oil for moin

Salt to taste

2 tsp ajwain seeds

Mix all the ingredients & knead a soft dough. Keep aside for sometime.

Now for the filling

1 cup soaked white urad dal grinded coarsely.

Take 2 tsp oil in a pan ,put 2 tsp saunf,1/2 tsp heeng,2 tsp red chilli powder,1 tsp coriander powder& salt to taste.  Add the dal &fry  a little.Allow the filling to cool.

Now make small balls of the kneaded dough & fill the filling,press a little with hands ,deep fry them till golden brown.

Your atta urad dal kachoris are ready

Enjoy with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
