In my house we all enjoy having dal Chawal as full meal..Just have a look at the method & ingredients
Here we go
Take 1cup of Arhar or tuar dal.Put it in a pressure cooker add 2cuos water &boil it with adding 1tsp turmeric powder ,&salt to taste.
Now for tempering.Take 2 tsp ghee in pan put 1tsp jira, heeng ,&red chilli powder. Now add this tempering to the dal & enjoy with steamed rice. I just love it , you too will love it
