Ratalu Matar is a delicacy to relish.Ratalu is a vegetable purple in colour, but when it is cooked gives a scrumptious dish to enjoy. Just have a look.
The pictures shown above are self explanatory. They tell you how to prepare Ratalu Matar.
First peel off the vegetable. Then cut into cubes & deep fry them till golden brown. Take a masher & mash it well.
Now take 3 tsp oil in a pan ,put 3chopped onions,2tsp ginger garlic paste & whole spices as 1bay leaf2-3cinnamon sticks,1tsp each red chilli powder,turmeric powder,salt to taste,mix well then add 4 tomatoes puree,& fry well.Add 1cup boiled peas &mashed Ratalu. Mix well & cook for 5 minutes,sprinkle a pinch of homemade garam masala &serve hot with paratha
