Sabut Urad Dal Heeng Kachori

This kachori is very famous in Rajasthan. It is made from sabut split urad Dal with lots is spices  , including Heeng or asafoetida. The main spice or the flavour of the kachori comes from heeng only. Have a look.

The recipe & method is very easy.

Ingredients for filling

1cup white urad Dal soaked for 2-3 hours

2tsps crushed sabut dhania 

1tsp each red chilli powder, amchur powder,salt to taste 

2tsps heeng

1tsp jira

Take 2 tsp oil in pan, add the spices & the Dal with 1cup of water. Let it cook on low flame. When Dal is done . Allow it to cool. Now this is your filling

For the dough 

Half cup maida

Half cup atta

1/4 cup rava or suji

Little salt

3tbsp oil for moin

Mix these & form a soft dough. Make small balls & fill the filling & prepare kachori. Deep fry them & cook in medium flame. Serve hot with tea  or coffee.
