Soulful Food

A very simple and soulful good in our country is Dal, Chawal,any dry Subzi.

Today I share my soulful good that is Palak Dal, Plain Rice,& Bhindi pyaz.

The ingredients are as follows 

Dal Palak

Take 1 bundle of Palak ,wash well ,& chop it. Now take 1cup chilka Moong Dal ,put the Dal,Palak, 2chopped tomatoes in a pressure cooker. Add 1tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste & take 3 whistles. Put off the flame.

Now for tempering take 2tsps ghee in a pan ,add 1tsp jira& heeng,1tsp red chilli powder. Put this in the Dal & mix well. Your Palak Dal is ready.

Prepare 1 cup basmati rice… Steamed 

Masala Bhindi

Take half kg bhindi & chop in big pieces. Cut 2 onions in juliens. Take 2 tsp mustard oil in pan ,add 1 tsp jira ,diced bhindi & 1tsp each red chilli powder, turmeric powder,salt to taste. Mix well & cook till tender. Add 1tsp each coriander powder, amchur powder.mix well & serve hot.
