A very popular dish in Gujrati cuisine is Dal Dhokli. A full whole meal that’s relished by all.
Here’s the recipe
Take 2 cups of Tuar Dal ,add 3 cups of water boil it in pressure cooker along with 1tsp turmeric powder,& salt to taste. When done keep aside.
Now for Dhokli
Take 1 cup whole wheat flour or atta with 1tsp Red chilli powder, salt to taste, 2tsps oil for moin & mix well . Knead into a soft dough. Roll it out & cut in daimond shape.
Add these to the Dal & keep boiling it well.
Now for tempering
Take 2 tsp ghee in a pan add 1tsp jira,Heeng rye & red chilli powder. Mix the tempering to the Dal & serve hot with lime juice
