My plate today is very simple with Aloo Matar, tempered curd,jira rice,onions,& plain paratha. I normally have lunch or dinner like this. The Subzi are in variation. As I love my food like this very much.
For Aloo Matar
Cut 3-4 potatoes in cubes, take oil in pressure cooker,add 1 tsp jira,puree of 3 tomatoes with 2tsp ginger Garlic paste. Fry it well then add all the spices 1 tsp each red chilli powder, turmeric powder,dhania powder, amchur powder& salt to taste. Add 1 cup green peas.Mix well & add 2 cups water,take 3 whistles,then open the lid, sprinkle 2 tsp garam masala. Your Aloo matar is ready.
Take 1cup whisked curd,add 1chopped onion,& 1chopped tomato. Add salt to taste. Take 1tsp oil in a pan add 1tsp,jira,Heeng & red chilli powder,put this tempering to the curd , mix well your tempered curd is ready .
Take 2 tsp oil in a pressure cooker. Put 1 tsp jira,salt to taste, 1cup basmati rice with 2cups of water. Take 1 whistle & put off the flame. Open lid & serve your jira rice.
Knead 1cup whole wheat atta.to a soft dough. Roll out like plain roti, but shallow fry it both the sides like paratha. These simple rotisserie turn out to be very soft paratha.Now your whole platter is ready to enjoy with onion salad.
