Rava Matthi with Matthe ke aloo

This unique combination is from U.P. As I belong to Kanpur therefore I thought of sharing this recipe.

For Rava Matthi

Here goes the recipe
2cups atta whole wheat flour

1cup rava
3 tbsp for moin
Salt to taste
1 tsp ajwain seeds

1tsp each red chilli powder, 
Oil for deep frying
Mix all ingredients with the flour & knead slightly soft.
Now make small balls & roll out puris. Pierce them with fork on both sides. Deep fry them till golden brown in medium flame.

For Matthe ke Aloo

Take 4 boiled potatoes mashed.,take 2tsp oil in pan add 1tsp jira, Heeng,put the mashed potatoes. Now add 1 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, 3cups of buttermilk called as mattha . Keep on stirring well,& let it come to a good boil. Sprinkle crushed kasuri methi.

Serve hot with Matthi
