Veg Upma

I simply love this lovely delicacy prepared from suji that is Upma. If we add vegetables it gives a tremendous taste to it. Do try it. You really fall in love with it.

All we need

1cup suji

3cups water

1carrot grated

1green capsicum çhopped

3green chillies chopped

3_4 curry leaves

1tsp Urad Dal

1tsp rye

Salt to taste

1tsp red chilli powder

1tomato chopped

1lemon

Method

Here we go

Now take 1tsp oil in pan ,add 1tsp uard dal,few curry leaves,1tsp rye. Let it splutter,add 2chopped onions, all chopped vegetables as 1 carrot, 1tomato chopped, 1chopped green chilli, .Saute well now add 3cups water. Let it boil well,add salt to taste. Put suji in it & mix well add 1 lemon juice , serve hot.

Àloo Gobhi Rassa

Àloo Gobhi Rassa is a very common delicacy that is enjoyed by all. Mostly this dish is prepared in Langar at gurdwaras,as Prasad during Guruparab. I just love this dish very much.

1medium cauliflower,cut in florets

2potatoes diced

2tomatoes pureed

3green chilled slited

1tsp each turmeric powder , dhania powder,red chilli powder,& salt to taste

Pinch of garam masala

2 tsp oil

Method

Take oil in a pressure cooker,add 1tsp jira,green chillies,add tomatoes puree with all the spices,put the cauliflower & potatoes & mix well,add 1cup of water& take 3 whistles. When done sprinkle garam masala & serve hot.You’ll just love it.

Veg Upma with Dalmoth

Upma is a dish prepared with suji, or you can call it namkeen halwa. You can enjoy this dish by sprinkling Dalmoth. It gives a different taste to it. Do try you shall definitely love it.

Masala Baigan

I share a very masaledar recipe today mode from brinjals or Baigan. These are masala Baigan . You will just love the dish.

Here goes the recipe

Take half kg small baigan,make four slits.Now take 1tsp each red chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,amchoor powder,salt to taste. Mix all the spices & stuff them in slited Baigan. You can fill this masala in green chillies also& cook them along with the baigan.Now take 3 tbsp mustard oil in pan, put the baigan in it & cook in low flame till tender. Serve hot with paratha when done.

Beetroot Theplas

Beetroot Theplas are a bit different from the original Theplas, but I tried making them,& they came out quite well & interesting too. You too can give a try.

All you need

1cup multigrain flour

1 medium sized beetroot grated

1tsp red chilli powder

Salt to taste

1tsp saunf seeds

2green chillies chopped

Method

Mix  all the ingredients in a pan & knead into a soft Dough. Now prepare thin parathas or Theplas.Serve them hot or you can consume them  within two days,as you wish ,just enjoy it.

Bread Upma

2slices bread cut in cubes

1onion chopped

2tomatoes diced

3-4 green chillies çhopped slantwise

1tsp red chilli powder

1tsp white urad Dal

1tsp rye

Salt to taste

4-5 curry leaves chopped

Method

Take 2 tsp oil in pan,add the dal , rye,when it turns brown add the chopped onions, green chillies,chopped tomatoes,all spices & bread pieces. Toss well & serve hot & enjoy.

Pumpkin Kofta

Pumpkin kofta is an usual kofta curry ,as by its name is made from pumpkin or kaddu as we call in Hindi.Its very simple and easy recipe to make .

Have a look

Grate250 gms pumpkin,add 2tsps rajgira atta,salt & red chilli powder to taste,2-3 green chillies chopped, 2tsp crushed peanuts, prepare  koftas & fry them till golden brown.Now take 2tsps oil in a pan add 3 tomatoes puree & 2tsp ginger garlic paste,fry well add 1 tsp each red chilli powder, turmeric powder & salt to taste. Add 2 cups of water, bring to good boil, sprinkle with garam masala,add the koftas & garnish with green coriander, serve hot with Chapatis.
