Kaddu or Pumpkin itself has many nutritive values. I always prepared it with panchphodan masala that includes mixed spices which are 5 spices.
These all spices are mixed together known as panchphodan.
The recipe is very easy.
Cut 1/2 kg pumpkin into medium sized pieces.Do not peel off the skin.Take 2 tsp oil in a pan,put 2 tsp panchphodan in it ,add the kaddu & 8-9 green chillies chopped,1cup soaked Kala chana ,1tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste. Cook till tender.Then add 1 tsp amchur powder, dhania powder,mix well & serve.
