My Plate

My plate has lovely delicacies.

Palak Puri

Take 2 bunches of Palak ,& boil them ,& grind into a smooth paste. Take 2cups of atta ,add 1 TSP red chilli powder,grinded paste of Palak,salt to taste , knead into a dough. Make small balls ,roll them out to puris & deep fry them.

Serve hot.


SAtta Bhature & Cholle
So here is the recipe for Cholle 
Preparation time 30 minutes | Serves – 4

Cholley/ Chickpeas 250 GM’s
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp tea leaves
1/2 tsp amchoor powder / dry mango
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
3fresh tomatoes puree
Salt to taste
2tbsp oil
2 tsp ginger garlic paste

Soak cholley overnight. Now put them in pressure cooker add 4 cups water, tea leaves,turmeric powder & salt and take 6 whistles ,put off the flame  & mash them a little with masher.
Now take oil in pan. Add tomato puree ,red chilli powder, amchoor powder stir well and add the hslf mashed  cholley. Bring them to a good boil your Cholley are ready to be served  either with puris .


250 gm white urad dal/skinless urad dal

1 kg whisked curd

Bhuna jira powder/ Roasted cumin powder

Red chilli powder/ Lal mirch powder


Green coriander/Dhaniya

Imli chutney ( optional)

Soak white urad dal for 5 – 6 hours.

Grind it to fine paste.

Make wadas out of the paste.

Soak them in water and squeeze them, keep aside

Now take whisked curd,add salt & red chilli powder.

Place these wadas in a plate.

Pour the curd on top of wadas. It tasted better with cold curd.

Decorate with red chilli powder, bhuna jira powder, garnish with green coriander.

You can add imli chutney also ,that’s optional.

Gajar Halwa

Sugarfree Gajar halwa with homemade Mawa

For the mawa.

Take 3lts of Amul Gold milk . Boil well till it thickens. Keep on stirring well.As it will thicken close the flame. The remaining residue is your pure homemade mawa to be used in the halwa.

For the Halwa.

Take 2.5 kg carrots. Grate it with the help of grater in food processor. Now put these  carrots in a handi add 2lts of Amul Gold Milk & keep on stirring well.

Stir well till the carrots are tender & the consistency thickens.

Now add 2cups of powdered Sugar free, put 5 tbsp of pure homemade ghee& keep on stirring well.You will see that the halwa will change its colour. Add raisins as 10 chopped almonds,10chopped cashewnuts &20 kismis .Mix well , Decorate with almonds & serve hot .

Jira Rice

Take 1cup basmati rice

2cups water

1tsp jira

Salt to taste


Take 1 tsp oil in pan,put jira, rice water & salt & cover with lid. She rice is cooked put off the flame . Your Jira Rice is ready.

Roast papad,& serve the salad of cucumber & onions.
