Shivratri is an auspicious occasion for Hindus.We celebrate it with very pomp& show. Here even I prepared my vrat thali.Sendha salt or vrat salt is to be used today.
My vrat thali
Peel 1/2 kg pumpkin & cut into cubes.Take 2tsps oil in a pan,add jira &2-3 whole red chillies. Add salt & red chilli powder to taste. Add little water let it be tender.
Boil 2-3 medium sized potatoes,cut into big pieces & deep fry them till golden brown. Sprinkle salt & red chilli powder to taste.
Take 1 cup soaked sabudana,cook with 2cups of milk. Boil well add 2 tbsps sugar. Mix well then add 1/2 tsp rose syrup& 1tsp elaichi powder.Decorate with nuts .
Take 3 tbsp curd ,add 2 tsp rose syrup,& churn in mixie. Serve in a glass your Lassi.
Take 1tsp curd add Bhuna jira ,rock salt to taste,churn in mixie, serve your chass in glass.
Parboil 4-5 big sized arbi, cut in rounds & fry till golden brown. Take 1 tsp oil in a pan put ajwain seeds & 4-5 slited green chillies,add Fried arbi ,salt& red chilli powder to taste.
Soak1 cup sabudana for 3 hours. Take 2 tsp oil in pan put 1tsp jira in it.As it splutters add sabudana, 1 tsp black pepper,salt to taste & 3 chopped green chillies. Add crushed roasted peanuts &fried cubed potatoes. Squeeze one lime & serve.
Grate250 gms pumpkin,add 2tsps rajgira atta,salt & red chilli powder to taste,2-3 green chillies chopped, 2tsp crushed peanuts,1 tsp soaked sabudana, prepare cutlets & fry them till golden brown.
First prepare the 2cups sugar syrup.Mix the 1cup Dessicated Coconut with 1tsp green cardmom powder,1tspsuji,1tspghee,&mix well. Now grease a Thali with 1tsp ghee& spread the mixture on it. Allow it to cool.It will set ,then you can cut in squares. Your Burfi is ready.
