This thali of mine is soulful,it has the following dishes




Baigan Bharta

Masala Arbi

Stuffed mirchi

The recipe is as follows

Kadhi Chawal 
Preparation time –30 minutes


Ingredients & Method 

1/2 kg curd whisked well along with 2tsp besan. Cook well with 3cuos water ,salt to taste,1/4 tsp turmeric powder.

Now for dumplings take 1cup besan, add salt,red Chilli powder & little water. Beat very well add a pinch of baking powder. Take oil in pan & make small dumplings or pakoras. Keep aside.

For tempering of kadhi take 1tbsp oil put 1tsp jira, 1tsphing & 1tsp red chilli powder. Add this & pakoras to the kadhi. Bring to a boil .

Your Kadhi is ready . Enjoy with steamed rice.

Preparation time – 20 minutes

Serves – 3


1 big brinjal around 250 gms roasted& peeled

2onions chopped

3 tomatoes chopped

2 green chillies chopped

2 tsp ginger garlic paste

4 tbsp oil

1cup boiled peas


* First peel the brinjal & mash well

* Take oil in pan , put chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, fry well till golden brown.

* Now add chopped tomatoes  fry well add boiled peas & mashed brinjal and mix well .

Serve hot with Chapati & enjoy with dal chawal.

1/2 kg arbi medium sized parboiled

1 tsp red chilli powder

1 tbsp besan

Sendha namak to taste

1.4 tsp ajwain seeds

4tbsp oil for frying

Cut the parboiled arbi lengthwise and fry them till golden brown.

Now take 2,tsp oil in pan add ajwain seeds, & all spices add fried arbi & toss well.

Sprinkle besan on the arbi and mix well, put 2-3 drops of water& keep aside.

Garnishing with green coriander leaves , is an optional. Your masala arbi fry is ready.

Ingredients & Method 
5-6 big sized green chillies 
1cup besan / gramflour 
1tsp each Red chilli powder, amchur powder 
Salt to taste 
2tsp oil
First toast the besan with the spices. Roast till golden brown . Slit the green chillies lengthwise. Now sprinkle some water in the roasted besan & fill in the filling in the chillies. Now take 2 tsp oil & place the stuffed chillies in the pan. Cook in low flame till chillies get tender.
You can enjoy these chillies with the paratha.
